At a meeting of Boston Presbytery, held in Lawrence, Mass in 1878, a petition was presented from forty seven persons, residents of Clinton, asking to be received as a station and organized as a church.
After years of negotiations, The First United Presbyterian Church of Clinton was formally organized in February 6, 1893. The Church was erected and dedicated on May 6, 1894. The Rev. Albert Flick was installed as the first Pastor.
Today, we are the Presbyterian Church (USA) in Clinton. Rev. Cindy Kohlman was installed as our Stated Supply Pastor in the summer of 2006. |
