ABOUT US
Mission Statement
The mission of the Clinton Presbyterian Church
is to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in our church, community and the world.
We do this by welcoming ALL
who want to worship and learn about the love of God.
We welcome people of any age, size, race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or financial status. Come, let's journey together as we live out our mission to reflect, grow and serve!
We are a welcoming church.
We are people, young and old. We are kids who get to sing and move and play instruments during worship. We are immigrants from Cameroon who have made this place a home and long time families from the Clinton area. We are gay and straight. We are young families and empty-nesters. We are teenagers and elderly. We are flawed and seeking community and kindness and wisdom. We have each other on this journey and room to grow and a place for you. We are hoping you will come and see and join us.

Leadership
Our church is run by Ruling Elders and a Board of Deacons. Our Pastor, or Teaching Elder, is the moderator of the Elders and member of the Deacons. Both boards are elected by the church membership and represent a cross section of our membership. The Elders meet monthly to decide on spiritual and business matters of the church. The Deacons meet at least quarterly and are in the caring ministry of our church community and the wider local and global community.

Our Pastor, or Teaching Elder, is Rev. Meagan Manas. Pastor Meagan has been journeying with us on this spiritual path since the spring of 2015. We have recently (Feb 2023) entered in a covenant with her. We signed together a Covenant to Rest and Delight.

In February 2020 we commissioned Jennifer Bastien as our Minister of Music. She leads us in song weekly, teaching us new music as we go forward.
Meet Our Leadership
WE ARE CONFESSIONAL
We confess our faith in the Triune God (Father, Son, Spirit); our dependence on Jesus Christ and reliance on the Holy Spirit and Scripture; our identity in Jesus and the salvation, grace, and justice he offers; our belief that our whole lives should glorify God; and so much more.
WE ARE CONNECTIONAL
We are a family and we live our faith lovingly and together. We are empowered together. We proclaim God’s Word together. We grow together. God adopts us through grace, not through anything we’ve done. At Clinton Presbyterian, we aim to receive all as we have been received – with love and grace.
